Bill Knott
Bill

It was in the RAF that Bill first became fond of animals where he was responsible for training and handling guard dogs, and later gained experience with farm animals. Bill was co-founder of the hedgehog hospital at Prickly Ball Farm, an experienced carer of sick hedgehogs, he also reared many a nest of abandoned wild chicks and injured wild birds and small wild mammals, and many cared for in our home.

After two years as a volunteer at the RSPCA West Hatch wildlife hospital, and having his garage constantly full of sick, injured and orphaned wildlife, he is co-founder of Devon Wildlife Hospital.

Liz

Liz, brought up on a farm, was a nurse, midwife and Health Visitor in past years, she is a keen horse rider and passionate about the care of animals.

In 1989 she was co-founder of the hedgehog hospital, which absorbed most of her time for the next 17 years until its sale in 2005. Conventional medicine backed with complimentary medicine used on patients has worked well in the past and in the last two years Liz has spent time studying Homeopathy at college in Exeter.

The new hospital is a dream come true, the wish now is to pass on the experience she has gained on to younger people.
